Hope you all have been having a faaantastic October!
We know you’re as excited about the Sprout as we are - and guess what? We have some new prototypes being created and should be headed our way by the end of this month.
We expect that these will be final prototypes, but will need to test them to ensure we can ultimately send you a top quality product.
After testing, and we confirm their quality, we can then…
Begin tooling!
If you weren’t already aware, tooling is the process by which we gather and create all parts necessary for manufacturing. This helps ensure products that last longer, and are of better quality than prototyped ones.

Onto Arugula.
Here at EcoQube, we’re huge fans of Arugula, and wanted to take some time to share some Arugula love with you all.
If you're a fan of Greek mythology and Roman literature, you've probably heard about this leaf many times. Having a distinctive peppery flavor, this is one of the most popular seasonings and ingredients in Italian, England and Romanian cuisine.
But, what makes arugula so special?
Arugula contains a lot of antioxidants including carotenoids that help prevent macular degeneration. These carotenoids preserve great eyesight, alleviate your chances of getting cataracts and helps maintain your liver health.
Vitamins K, A and beta-carotene are all found in arugula leaves, keeping your eye-health at its best. Beta-carotene acts as an antioxidant to your eyes, protecting your retina from free radicals. Lutein, on the other hand, helps preserve crystal clear eyesight.
Arugula's Vitamin K also helps to keep good bone density even better than calcium's ability.
With a single cup of this greens, you get 21. 8 micrograms of vitamin K, which works wonders with Arugula's potassium to promote faster blood clotting. Easy recovery with vitamin K’s anti-inflammatory properties makes this powerful leafy green a must when you're recovering from an injury.

Hey Micro-Green Fam!
For those of you in the United States, we hope you’ve all had a fantastic Labor Day weekend (and we hope everyone else had great weekends as well)!
See the delicious grilled cheese above?
That’s a swiss and cheddar grilled cheese with onions, mushrooms, and green peppers made with micro-greens grown right from a Sprout prototype!
Here’s the recipe you can use to make one yourself:
Ingredients
- 8 slices bread
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup mushrooms, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- Basil or arugula sprouts
- Oil for sauteing vegetables
- Salted butter for grilling sandwiches
Directions
- Heat oil on pan, on medium-high heat. Saute onions, garlic, and mushrooms until onions start to turn transparent and soft.
- Add green peppers and saute for 15 more seconds. Set vegetables aside.
- Lay out two slices of bread
- On one slice of bread, layer swiss cheese, sauteed vegetables, cheddar cheese, and sprouts. Add the other slice of bread.
- Heat 1tsp butter on pan on medium-high heat. Grill each side of the sandwich for 40 seconds each.
- Repeat steps 3-5 for all four sandwiches.
- Serve immediately

Hey Sprout backers!
Here at EcoQube, we believe that healthy, nutritious food needs to be accessible to everyone.
We’re increasingly seeing our food being produced hundreds or thousands of miles away from where we live, and nutrition is often lost in transportation due to time, heat, or variety of other negative factors. And after a personal life event that the founder of EcoQube (Kevin) experienced, we discovered the wonders of micro-greens.
These veggies stunned us because we found out that they contained up to 40x the nutrients of normal veggies and could grow within just a few weeks!
After learning that, we created the EcoQube Frame to help beautify indoor living spaces while providing people around the world with the opportunity to grow fresh micro-veggies for themselves.
But we wanted to make it even easier to access healthy food, and that’s when we came across a really cool concept.
If you haven’t already heard from us about these things, then you’ll be excited to learn about hydroponic shipping container farms that grow food in the middle of cities!
Because they’re hydroponic farms (meaning that plants are watered in soil-less mediums), you’re able to control when and where you grow your food.
